For those who want to spend their vacation getting back to nature, Big Bear Camp
is the location to keep in mind. Located in Northern Ontario, Canada, Big Bear
Camp sits on the shore of Horwood Lake. Horwood Lake has 110 miles of shoreline
to visit and 13,702 acres of water for fishing and boating. Horwood Lake is
known for its outstanding Northern pike and pickerel (walleye) fishing. The lake
is fed by a number of streams and rivers offering additional inlets and inflows
where you can also fish for perch and whitefish. Our camp rents boats to our
clients, offers a tackle shop with live bait and there is also a fish cleaning
hut on site.
All of our guests stay in individual cabins. We have a total of 7 lodges that
range in size from 2 people to the large cabins, which can accommodate up to 9.
The cabins are rented by the week from Saturday to Saturday and come with most
modern conveniences. We provide electricity, running water, refrigerators, gas
cooking stove and a wood stove. We also supply bedding, cutlery, pots and pans,
dishes, and glasses. Check in time is at 3 pm and check out time is at 10 am. We
have a gas station on site for your boating and vehicle needs during the week of

shore of beautiful Horwood Lake, you have a stunning view from nearly every lot.
Lots are equipped with electricity and water. Our modern shower house and
washroom facilities are available to all our camping guests. Docking facilities
are also available.

We offer a guided fall bear hunt over active stands as well as a guided or
unguided moose hunt.
